This special-edition Rugged Twill Cruiser Jacket is as heavy-duty as they come. Made with the same tough-as-nails Rugged Twill that’s found in our million-mile luggage, there simply is no jacket out there that will withstand torturous abuse like this one.
Iconic and often imitated, our original Mackinaw Wool Cruiser Jacket was designed to protect foresters in the rain-soaked, snow-covered forests of the Pacific Northwest. Over the past century, our waxed-cotton Tin Cloth and worsted wool Forestry Cloth Cruisers have earned similar acclaim. Now our Rugged Twill version takes the legendary Cruiser durability to a whole new level.
The Cruiser features four flapped cargo pockets on the front, with the lower one hiding side-entry hand pockets. On the left chest is a stacked utility pocket and inside is an open stow pocket. The back is double-layered to create a full-width, pass-through pocket. This is where timber cruisers would stow their maps and survey charts. The front closure, adjustable cuffs, and pocket flaps all secure with metal snaps that are virtually indestructible.
The Rugged Twill fabric is lightly waxed to aid water resistance. Much like a sturdy pair of leather boots, this jacket will soften with use, conforming to your shape. It will develop its own character and patina that tells the unique story of miles travelled and jobs accomplished.
